Dental Clinic at Canaan Elementary School
Provided by: Upper Valley Smiles Dental Program
December 18, 2023 and January 8, 2024 
This program is for children who have not had a dental visit within the past 6 months and do not have a dental visit scheduled in the upcoming 3 months. 
AT NO COST TO YOU, a registered dental hygienist will provide a dental check up and preventive care as needed.

Consent is required for your child to be seen at this clinic.  Consent forms will go home with students on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  
If you would like your child to attend the clinic, please return the completed consent form to the school nurse by Friday, December 15, 2023.

October 2023, the Mascoma
 Community Health Center began a new partnership with HealthFirst Family Care Center out of Franklin and Laconia New Hampshire.  The HealthFirst Family Care Center offers all the same services (and more to come) including primary care, behavioral health, an MAT program and dental care.  For more information on HealthFirst go to:

November 8, 2023 FLU VACCINE CLINIC  was a big success with 41 students receiving the flu vaccine.

Did you receive notice that your child needs a follow up evaluation by an eye doctor?  Did your child see an eye doctor?  What was the result?  Thank you for contacting the school nurse with the results of the visit.
Need some support to schedule an appointment, pay for the visit or glasses, or help with transportation?    THE LIONS CLUB provides financial assistance to families for eye exams and glasses.  Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information or if you have any questions or concerns about the screening.
